Equipping and Encouraging Women March 21

"Equipping and Encouraging Women" breakfast group meets again Saturday, March 21! Please join us at 9:30 for breakfast together, and a time of connection. If you have not yet had the chance to join us, we would love to see you!! This month's topic is Personalities, Pit-Falls, Growth Opportunities.
This is an opportunity for all the women of RVCC to meet together, enjoy breakfast, and connect with one another in a significant way outside of a Sunday morning. Through enriching discussion, encouragement, and personal testimony, the goal is to walk out Titus 2:3-5 with older women teaching what is good, and training younger women in a variety of roles. Our focus is encouragement for the current challenges we face, and open discussion and sharing.
ALL women are encouraged to attend; singles, young married women, young mothers, seasoned mothers, empty nesters, and older women are all encouraged to come! We need the full spectrum, or we’ll forfeit the Titus 2 purpose.
This is a “Mom’s Only” event, but nursing babies are always welcome. This group will meet at Renae J's home north of Stillwater. Breakfast will be served promptly at 9:30am. Contact the church office for address/directions, or more information.

Diaper Donations

We got another nice note from the folks at Options.
We are always accepting diaper and wipes donations for Options for Women-St. Croix Valley. As a church we're not anti-abortion but PRO-LIFE, and try to back that up by helping out mothers who choose life for their child. This is an easy way to do that. Organizationally we support Options with a monthly monetary donation, but diapers are one item they always need to help support the mothers relying on their services. Whenever you are shopping and pick some up, drop them off with Pastor Greg the next time you come to RVCC and he will make sure they get to OFW. According to their website, the most needed supplies right now are size 5 & 6 diapers, wipes, diaper ointment, and baby lotion and wash.

What does it mean to be a Christian? What do you believe, and why? Many of us who hope in Christ often struggle to discuss our faith deeply in a confident way. It's time to become comfortable with the word theology and to aspire to become theologians who know the fundamentals of Christian doctrine. But becoming theologians doesn't mean getting a degree or wearing a tweed suit. It simply means becoming a student of the heart of God. It means coming to know His story of grace so well that it becomes a part of us. It means understanding His character and letting it inspire our approach in every area of life.
This class will help bring understanding of what the gospel really is and how it applies to life. The knowledge of God leads to adoration, devotion, intimacy and transformation. Become a student of God's heart and discover the joy of participating in the bigger story He is authoring for all of humanity!
Bible teacher Phylicia Masonheimer, author of the book Every Woman a Theologian, will be our guide for this study. It is strongly recommended, though not required, that you read her book and use the corresponding study guide in order to get the most benefit from participating in this class.
Please do not let the title of the book hinder or dissuade you from participating! Nothing in the book is specific to women but is applicable and valuable for all Christians.
