First Worship Wednesday the First Wednesday in 2026!

No better way to start a year than with worship!  Join us the first Wednesday of 2026 for our first First Wednesday Worship of the year, here at RVCC-Lake Elmo!

RVFM Women's Seminar

Susana S will be facilitating a Women's Seminar here at RVCC-Lake Elmo the weekend of January 16-17, starting at 6:30pm Friday evening, then 10am-5pm on Saturday.  (Lunch will be provided)
The seminar will be video-based, but discussion-heavy!  Here are the details:

EMPOWERED: A Video Bible Study For Women by Lee Grady (facilitated by Susana Shaklee)
"Does the Bible limit women in their spiritual gifts and callings? Does God empower His daughters to both preach and lead? Author and ministry leader Lee Grady (former editor of Charisma magazine) shares from Scripture and church history to show that women belong on the front lines of ministry. This Bible study will help you step into your destiny."
This is a seminar, not a lecture!  We will be watching Lee Grady's video teachings together and then discussing them as a group. We will complete the entire series during the Friday and Saturday sessions. Topics that will be covered include God's original plan for men & women, how Jesus empowered women, how the Holy Spirit liberates women, Biblical examples of women in leadership, and more.

It is best to plan to attend the full seminar, but please do not hesitate to sign up if you can only attend a session or two.  We will have sign-up links and physical sheets available starting NEXT Sunday.

Week Devoted to God

Mark your calendars for our Week Devoted to God, at a new time this year, the first week of February.  There will be prayer meetings during the day, and services in the evenings each night.  We'll advertise the full schedule when we get closer to the actual event.

Download Our App!

Download our RVCC church app from your app store today!  There's all sorts of features, and we're tweaking it to make it even more helpful as a way to stay connected.  Service video is streamed there as well as on our YouTube channel.  There are groups for communicating and chatting with others in the RVCC family, and much more!  Search for "RVCC Lake Elmo" or CLICK HERE.

Diaper Donations

We are always accepting diaper and wipes donations for Options for Women-St. Croix Valley. As a church we're not anti-abortion but PRO-LIFE, and try to back that up by helping out mothers who choose life for their child. This is an easy way to do that. Organizationally we support Options with a monthly monetary donation, but diapers are one item they always need to help support the mothers relying on their services. Whenever you are shopping and pick some up, drop them off with Pastor Greg the next time you come to RVCC and he will make sure they get to OFW. According to their website, the most needed supplies right now are size 5 & 6 diapers, wipes, diaper ointment, and baby lotion and wash.

Elders Ministry

If you would like to connect with one of our Elders for any reason during the week, contact the church office and we'll get you in touch!

Take Us With You

Podcast listeners can listen to audio from our Sunday morning services on several platforms. Find us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music and Audible. Search for, "River Valley Christian Church Lake Elmo MN" on your preferred podcast app, then subscribe and listen anywhere, any time, however you like to listen!
We also have an RVFM Podcast gathering messages from our affiliated churches in one spot. The feed for that one has recently changed!  CLICK HERE if you use Spotify, and CLICK HERE if you're an Apple Podcast person!  If you have trouble with any of these contact Pastor Greg in the church office and he'll try to help you sort it out.

2025 Daily Bible Reading Plan

One of our top goals as a church is always to help you keep up on (or get into) a daily Bible reading habit.  We are nearly finished with our current program, and we will start advertising a new one that will start THIS January 1.  We'll have it available on our app, so it will be seriously easy to follow along!  Watch for details in the next couple of weeks!
Get into the daily habit now, even if it's not our particular program! We want you to get the WORD in YOU! Contact the church office if you have questions.

Acts Class

Susana S is facilitating a study on the Book of Acts using the BibleProject animated videos and study guide.  It will run for just one more week, December 10.

From the BibleProject description.:  "The book of Acts is about Jesus leading his people through the Spirit to go out into the world and invite all nations to live under his reign. The story will begin with that message spreading in Jerusalem (chs. 2-7), into the neighboring regions of Judea and Samaria full of non-Jewish people (chs. 8-12), and from there out to the nations and the ends of the earth (chs. 13-28). The good news of the risen King Jesus leads to the formation of communities where individuals from various backgrounds live in unity and love for one another as they pledge their allegiance to Jesus and live according to his teachings."

Contents of the study include:
  • Acts 1: Jesus Commissions His Disciples and Ascends to Heaven
  • Acts 2-7: Pentecost in Jerusalem and the Birth of the Church
  • Acts 8-12: The Jesus Community Becomes an International Movement
  • Acts 13-20: Mission to Israel and Clashes with Roman Culture
  • Acts 21-28: Paul Arrested in Jerusalem and Imprisoned in Rome
CLICK HERE for the study guide material and be prepared.

No need to buy any book or study guide. Participants will just need to bring their Bibles. Class format will be some teaching, but mostly small group discussion/questions.

Saplings Elementary Age Children's Class, and Vessels Youth Group

These kids are growing into something amazing!  If your child isn't a part of these groups yet, encourage them to give it a shot.  There's a lot of good going on Wednesday nights in the East Wing!

Getting to Know You

This group is very popular!  It is geared toward new(-er) attendees to RVCC, but long(-er) time attendees are invited to attend as well. We can tell you all sorts of things about us and our organization, but we'd like to know YOU, too. Less of a "teaching" class than a conversation!

Photography and Videography

We also have a Photography and Videography class.  Taught by Ethan N, this is an in-depth look at the art of production for furthering the Kingdom!

Mahtomedi/White Bear Lake Area Small Group

Sunday Morning Pre-Service Prayer

We have some dedicated young people who are committed to heading up this pre-service prayer time and cover our Sunday mornings with prayer.  Join them Sundays at 9am in classroom W1!

Opportunities To Serve

All sorts of ministries around the church are looking for volunteers. Our Hospitality Ministry, which includes the Greeter, Usher, Info Table, and Cookie Ministries is looking to include more volunteers. If you are interested, talk to Pastor Peter, or contact the church office.
Our Children's Ministry is looking for some volunteers, too. What an incredible opportunity to advance the Kingdom by helping bring them up in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord." Talk to Pastor Shiloh or contact the church office about this, too! A background check is required to work with our Children's Ministry.

If you would like to donate to RVCC and it's ministries, etc. you can mail or drop off a check at the church office, or give online now from right here on this page:
