And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
Acts 2:42
Acts 2:42 shows a snapshot of a devoted, spiritually vibrant, and deeply connected community of Christians within the early churches. These believers devoted themselves to sound Biblical teaching. Through Fellowship they shared a true Biblical communal life of resources, mutual support, care and unity. They often practiced communion together by the Breaking of Bread, reminding one another of Jesus' sacrifice, to walk fully in everything that He has purchased on the cross. Furthermore, they were committed to praying together and seeking the Holy Spirit’s leading for their lives. In conclusion, these believers in the Book of Acts were focused on learning and growing together, sharing life together, and seeking God’s will for their lives through prayer and worship.
